The Purpose of Presbyterian Women

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:
          -To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study;
          -To support the mission of the church worldwide;
          -To work for justice and peace;
          -To build an inclusive, caring community of women
that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the
promise of God's Kingdom.

Leaders of Presbyterian Women in the Congregation, Presbytery, Synod and churchwide shall work to fulfill the purpose of the principles of Presbyterian women.  Our budget is raised by pledges and gifts, including two special offerings:  The Birthday Offering is in celebration of the birthday of "Women of the Church."  It is offered each spring to meet up to three major mission needs for women.  The Thank Offering (Including Health Ministries) of gratitude to God is made in the fall at a special service conducted by the PWC and the money goes to special needs selected by the Creative Ministries Offering Committee in accordance with mission concerns and policies of the Presbyterian Church (USA).  If you would like further information regarding the Presbyterian Women of the PCUSA, go to the following website: www.pcusa.org/pw/

Bible Study Circles

 Members of Presbyterian Women in the Congregation (PWC) are organized into circles to form small groups that gather regularly to provide an inclusive, caring community of women.  The 2007-08 Bible Study for Circles is "Above and Beyond" Hearing God's Call in Jonah and Ruth from the Horizons Bible Study Series.
